Flask Alerts and Analytics

Visualize trends and create alerts on your operational measures

Flask Alerts and Analytics enables you to easily create operational measures for your virtual clinical trials. You can present measures  as Alerts and/or visualize measures as Analytics.

How does it work?

1. Create a measure. A measure can be an operational metric – such as how many patients were screened  or a clinical measure such as how many AE’s were reported.  Click on Measures in the left sidebar of Flask to create a measure.   A measure is calculated from the value of an Item variable in a CRF.  The measure can then be aggregated on a dimension of study site, subject, event, CRF, cohort, date or time.

2. Create an alert.  An alert is simply a measure over/under threshold.  Click on Monitoring Rules> Add Alert to create an alert.

3. Create an analytic.  An analytic is a visualization of a measure as a graph  on an X axis of dimension of study site, subject, event, CRF, cohort, date or time. You visualize measures as line and area charts, as bar charts or pie charts.  You can visualize multiple measures on a stacked bar.   If you don’t aggregate the measure – Flask Analytics is smart enough to produce a table of measure values for you. Click on Monitoring Rules> Add Analytic to create an Analytic.

4. Render the dashboard of alerts and analytics by click on the Flask icon in the top left hand corner of the top toolbar.
